49North app for iPhone and iPad

49North is a straightforward navigation tool geared towards anyone looking for guidance and direction with NTS (National Topographic System) and DLS (Dominion Land Survey).

Free features include unlimited conversion of both NTS and DLS to GPS lat/lon coordinates and directions via Apple Maps with the resulting coordinate from a conversion. Calculations are done completely offline (maps require connectivity). NTS calculations handle all of Canada except the arctic regions. DLS calculations handle the East meridian as well as W1 to W6.

The app has premium features that can be unlocked. The unlocked features will enable the following:

-Recent lookups list
-Bookmarking capability
-Lat/Lon to DLS/NTS
-Reverse GPS to DLS/NTS

This app is optimized for both iPhone and iPad in both portrait and landscape mode.

Calculations in this application are estimations based off of theoretical values and should not be used where extra precision is needed. Route calculations are handled by Apple Maps.
